The main shaft rides on needle bearings. The tube holder rotates from 0 to 60 degrees. Most other notchers only notch to 45 degrees. You can notch tube as small as 1/2" and as large as 2". Just get your bi-metal blade hole saws from Sears, Lowes or Home Depot. None are included! It works great for hand rails.
